WE ARE PENTECOSTAL
Pentecost is the celebration of the day that God poured out His spirit on early Christian believers (Acts 2). Calvary Tabernacle is apart of an organization (the United Pentecostal Church International) that believes in One God whose name is Jesus, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and the receiving the Holy Ghost (God's spirit) into our lives with evidence of speaking in tongues. We live our lives patterned after the first church in the Bible by worshiping passionately, making disciples, and living a life after the Holy Ghost that is holy and pleasing to God.

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to be a Spirit-filled church that leads people to Jesus Christ, equips believers to grow in faith, and empowers them to live out the Gospel in their homes, their community, and the world.
THE UNITED PENTECOSTAL CHURCH INTERNATIONAL
Calvary Tabernacle is affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI), a global fellowship of Pentecostal churches committed to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Founded in 1945, the UPCI includes tens of thousands of churches and millions of believers around the world who are united by a desire to carry the message of Jesus to every nation and community.

UPCI churches believe in the authority of the Bible, the oneness of God revealed in Jesus Christ, the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, and the call for believers to live a life devoted to God. Their mission is to bring “the whole gospel to the whole world by the whole church.” Through this connection, we are reminded that while our church serves the Perth-Andover community, we are also part of a much larger body of believers working together to spread the message of Jesus to the world.
We Sing Together
In the Bible we read, "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord...and sing praise." Psalm 98:4
We Clap Our Hands
In the Bible we read, "O, clap your hands all ye people." Psalm 47:1
We Pray Together
In the Bible we read, "They lifted up their voice to God with one accord." Acts 4:24
We Anoint with Oil
In the Bible we read, "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord," James 5:14
We Baptize in Jesus' name
In the Bible we read, "Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:38, Acts 8:16, Acts 10:48, Acts 19:5, etc. This fulfills Matthew 28:19.
We Believe in the Holy Ghost
In the Bible we read, "For the promise is unto you, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." The evidence of this experience is the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. Acts 2:4, 10:46, 19:6
Pastor David
& Roma Ferrell
Pastor Ferrell grew up in Ohio. He met his wife, Roma, at Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, MN. They moved to New Brunswick, Canada and were married.

They have pastored three churches in New Brunswick - Hoyt, Woodstock, and Perth Andover. They have 2 chldren; Anthony, and his wife Jessica, who live in Arkansas, and Chrissy who lives in Perth Andover, and one grand-daugther, Kelsey.

Pastor Ferrell has a Bachelor of Theology Degree from Apostolic Bible Institute in Minnesota; a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Behavorial Sciences from the University of Maine; and a Masters of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Laurentian University in Ontario. He is currently pursuing his PhD.
